WHEN THEY WERE LITTLE!

Here are Smurf, Scrappy and Munchie (who went to live with Tim at the office) Munchie is in the front, all of our 6 cats begin with "s" It is kind of tradition now but we have had so many cats we are running out of names!… But these were taken one xmas when they were little and I just came across them…. They usually knock on the holiday cottage doors to get some attention, as if they don't get enough at home!!!!

Heres one of the last little litter of Kune Kunes we had before we had to give up breeding due to selling  some of our land, we haven't enough now to breed. But they were cute and liked to dress up haha

These are this years fledglings that hatched her at The Mill…. Thought I would share some cute pictures!!

OUT FOR A CUPPA!

After work on Saturday we alway go down to Lakeside Cafe, well worth it if you are down here, we cleaned the cottages, mucked out did the horse poo!! we have such interesting lives eh ha ha then down for the start of the weekend a chilli and chips, best chill in town!We then rock climbed to Polkerris with all three dogs in tow, it was a bit technical at some  points!!!, and we decided to not go back the same way we came, Shadow came seal watching from Polkerris, the others weren't too bothered and went to sleep but shads was there keeping an eye on the seals!….

ODD SEASON

It is odd at the moment as our old tree next door always looses its leaves in one go, but it is late this year, and our tropical spiky plant has flowered again?? Plus we have had quite a few late butterflies... I am no Alan Titchmarsh but this doesn't seem right does it? Mind you how would I know whats normal with my life!!!!

CHAPEL PORTH

Great place to go, the tide isn't often out this far, and it meant the dogs had the whole beach for a while, its got a great little cafe on the beach who do bacon and mushroom baguette with garlic butter, they were sooooo nice. Lucky was so excited she couldn't contain herself, she didn't know what to do next. So if you are visiting us, take a visit down there, its stunning, but check the tide times first. You can walk to St.Agnes and Porthtowan form there. Sorry probably a few too many pics! but it was stunning and the surf was huge, I think they have the body boarding champs here..

ANYONE FOR A PRESENT?

Smurf just can't help himself, As soon as I unwrap anything he jumps in it, He was quite happy in this bag fighting himself for a few hours, very odd chap...

SHADOW CAME TO WORK!

We were about to go and do our site visits when Shadow thought she wasn't going to let us go without her, so jumped in the car and wouldn't get out. She had a whole day of visits, we have four on site over there at the moment, quite a lot to manage, but they are stunning projects , lucky clients!
. She enjoyed Polzeath beach and had a quick car break there….

STILL SUNNY!

We have been really lucky the last week or so, its cold but not biting cold and really sunny its great love it, don't want the rain back, I hate the rain. Heres a picture of the sun in the trees before the Wild life trust cut
them all down… yes you heard right the Cornwall Wild life trust think it is better that they go for the wild life??? deers??? horse shoe bats (protected), etc etc, if I wanted to cut down one tree I would have every man and his dog giving me grief, one rule for one and one for them it seems, I can't even sneeze near the ruddy horseshoe bats. I must look up the european law about it, I don't think they can do this, especially not now we are in November they will upset their hibernation…. ok rant over… it will be fine when I have had my walk and been fed ha ha… But if anyone knows anything I can do please let me know!

XMAS DECS!

Started with the outside decorations for Xmas, these are a few of them, It took forever trying to figure out the wiring as they needed to come back to a similar position, got half way through and had to stop to take the dogs for a walk and the obligatory yummy breakfast at Lakeside Cafe with Helen and Dave, not sure what we would do without them, I think our sanity would be truly tested or gone!…

ALL TRIMMED!

The farrier came and trimmed Studley and Storms feet, they seem to be really healthy at the moment, probably because we have had them in a smaller paddock to stop them from eating themselves sick!… But the grass is now just about finished, so we will have to put them on a hard feed for the winter hay and pony nuts…oh and the odd carrot and apple etc, Storms favourite! Not sure the farrier would appreciate his backside being in my blog! oh well!

BUILDING!

Steve is full time at college but at the moment has Wednesdays off, he has a lot of course work on his Sports and exercise sciences, but that is able to be done after football on the weekends, if not enough time in the evenings. So Steve got him self a job one day a week on a building site, he started today and seemed to have a great day, laying drainage, compacting, etc. A full day and really strenuous which is great for steve as he loves exercise… but is aching all over now, but has a footy match tonight , just to add a few more aches! Well done Steve proud of you XX

FEEDING TIME

Its duck pond time, fed the swans and canada geese, and anything else with wings… Pete tried to flap about so he got fed too, didn't like to tell him it doesn't quite work like that! So pooped a bit of bread in his mouth too ha ha… then Shadow started!!!!

SUNRISE

This is what you'll see if you get up early and go to Par beach, our local beach, its just stunning, anyone who thinks otherwise must be mad, its just perfect. The dogs have a great time there. A great place to start the day and finish the day oh and the middle bit too!!! if only I had my way I wouldn't leave! Shame that ol' work thing you have to do eh!

LAKESIDE CAFE!

This is the view by lakeside cafe where Helen and Dave feed us, so if you are down here, you must go in and have a bite to eat… great place no one would know its there really… fab food! I don't think the reflections could have been any more perfect… might have to put this image in a comp!!

REFLECTIONS

I took this picture on a very early morning walk, beautiful perfect reflection…love it… sometimes you don't see all the good things when you are in a rush...

A DAY IN OUR LIFE!

After being awoke by a monster running over my bed…well it was smart chasing a mouse…This was 4am and the mouse was squeaking so thought better save it, Pete and I in our PJ's were rugby tackling a 2 inch mouse that had jaws of doom trying to rescue it.. I am not sure he was that grateful by the look of the chunks it was trying to take out of our hands. Finally last ditch attempt by Pete he did an ace slide tackle into the wardrobe and secured the mouse and put it out side. We hadn't spoke to each other until then… we just assumed positions and went to war on the mouse, like clockwork!!… Then back to bed for a long sleep all until 5.30am when the alarm of "the Muppet's" went off, I had forgotten to change the time to our lie in of 6.30am… so got up and thought better get on… filled up petrol in Steve's car, helped Laura into her toga for teaching Romans at school, packed them both off to school to teach and college to learn it was now 7.30am, fed animals, put horses back in field they were supposed to be in after an escape…., fed us, walked the dogs and then to post office to get the euros for our short break, posted the multitude of letters for work, and somewhere between the post office and the car only 5 yards, someone must have seen me drop my euros and instead of saying "excuse me I think you have dropped something" they thought B***** it Ill nick what she has dropped cause I couldn't give a monkey about anyone…. and they stole my euros right under my nose but i didn't realise until i got to the bank… so i spent the next few hours trying to find any CCTV to see who it was in the bank and post office with no avail, then a visit to the police station to report it…. then went to pay Steve's dental bill, which I could have bought Simon cowells gnashers the price of that… thought not a good day had a massive cream bun to cheer me up….so the one break we thought we could have after not the best year... with no trauma someone messes that up,,, have to work another week to get that back..… why are some people so horrid, the amount of things I have handed in and given back the shop keeper of the wrong change as someone will have to pay out of their wages…. but when I need the same …it doesn't happen…..Then on to do the shopping, back to unload, had 45 mins to unload, peel all the veg for tea prepare the meat and chuck it …oh sorry place it nicely! in the oven in the hopeful event the timer will work this time and cook my tea as mum and Aaron were coming for tea, ran out the door to a meeting, saw some clients, appeared calm and unfazed if only they knew…. back to rescue tea from oven, fed all, washing , drying, dishes, pack lunches, sort work for next day, checked bookings, finally sat down at 10.30pm…. We will be very glad of a couple of days break! Well thats half of it

KITTENS

I miss having loads of animals breeding and the nightmare it brings!… Heres a picture of when the kittens arrived, right in the middle of changeover!… mmm maybe I don't miss it… ha ha

CAKES AND CAKES

I found these pictures, thought I would share with you… I made all these crazy creations, not quite as the pros do it… but had good fun making out of stuff in the cupboard! I have hundreds more, but these just hit me from my computer thought I'd add them!

MADE THIS!

Ok I know you think I have lost the plot, but here is my latest wacky addition….I love it, but then I would, there must be people out there that appreciate this stuff, when I have enough I am going to try to sell it and see what happens…. am taking orders now! ha ha

AFTER THE STORM

You wouldn't know the storm had been after a day or so, the sun came out and the sky was perfectly blue, could have been summer… except for the bitter wind!… Canada geese ready to migrate… I think they migrate? and moorhens, cootes, swans all there having a yap…. Lovely place to be, dogs love their walk to Par beach, never get fed up of that walk… love it!

FUNGI?

Noooo I am not talking about pete… I found this mushroom, thing…do you know what it is??? It is about 25cm-30cm tall?

HALLOWEEN CAKES

Halloween came and went no trick or treaters, as next doors little ones were elsewhere, and no one else was brave enough to walk up the long dark scary lane! But I made some buns for Kian and Erin next door to enjoy on Halloween, and Laura had some too, as her and Kait  had a Halloween celebration! dressed as cats I think… 22 and not any sight of growing up.. ( good on you Laura, follow family tradition!) We heard some fireworks outside, the dogs went mad so huddled them in the downstairs loo, they seems a bit better in there, not nice for the animals this time of year, but they did make a good show in the sky, great view from our lounge… thanks everyone!...

RAINBOW

They always appear whenever I think about them (if you have bought my book you will see the relevance of this… if not why haven't you!! ha ha only kidding), and this one appeared on the 20th October…fitting as it was mums birthday!

THE WORLD HAS GONE MAD!

I found this cute little toast rack and thought, ah thats a good idea nice present maybe for the ones who love rustic…or maybe I could make one!! I turned over the bottom to see the price and its 45 quid!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes, really can you justify £45 on a toast rack??? maybe I live in a different world but nope I won't be buying this one! (the slates underneath are not part of it, just the slab of wood!)
