CONFUSED

The word is out they are very excited at the prospect of leading their friends astray next door!!! Rocky and Ringo are really naughty and Shadow doesn't help leaping around the field like an idiot... Studley and Storm arent really sure if they are goats or if the goats are ponies...very confused!! All I know is that they love to play together!

NEW NEIGHBOURS!

Studley and Storm have new neighbours in the paddock next door... They have three ponies, called Milly, Peanut and Molly?? maybe, cant remember now sorry if incorrect but they sounds ok don't they! ha ha.... Also next door is Tommy, Jimmy, Adonis, Perran, I think I have them right they are alpacas. Tommy and Jimmy are babies I love the little ginger one, and Perran one of the white ones has a great character... We were lucky enough to walk them when they arrived, I could hear Justin pleading for me not to take a photo, but you can see him here trying to hide in his coat!!... They are wonderful animals and I am always on hand if Becky needs a surrogate handler ha ha... anything to give those fluffy walking bears a hug,.!! oh and Bailey is growing too the puppy. If we didn't have three dogs already I would have definitely gone and got one of those!... As for Alpacas, well we only have a small paddock and we need to rest each half for 6 months each so the field doesn't get horse sick, so I have no land to put any alpacas, Ill just have to make do with looking at them in our neighbours field... I hear Pete's sighs of relief!!!

WALKING PONIES!

ried to walk the ponies to the beach, thought they would like it, but there is no way they will go out of the drive, we walk around here on leads all fine, then we get to the end of the drive and its like they are stuck in glue!!! they wouldnt budge not an inch, so we brought them back and gave them a good brush which they much preferred, we have got a load of soppy animals, mmm wonder how that happened!!!!

POINT TO POINT

It was Point to Point today at Menheniot near Liskeard. Its a great day out, horse racing with betting!!... and trade stands, So much happens in Cornwall that you dont realise... I think its the oyster festival too up until Monday so might see that Monday!... Pete and I choose our horses then cheered them on as if it was life and death to win!! A great day out, I think there is a St Columb point to Point Monday too if you missed this one! Mine was the one in front until it fell on the last jump!

START OF EASTER

We were waiting for the hot weather to arrive, it didn't do bad it got up to 4 degrees but the sky was blue so thats something eh! We celebrated easter starting by having tea with the dogs on the beach, a bag of chips and a bottle of water on Par beach...Ah we know how to live and sat there until it got dark! We often have picnics or chips on the beach or a flask of coffee, its a lovely walk and perfect when you have stressful days! of course we never have stressful days ha ha ha

LITTER PICKING!

Mum went litter picking on Sunday at Charlestown, they collected 10 bags... Well done to all. Although we are busy raising money for dads charity mum still has time to help everyone else. Well done mum! SOME SIGHTS ON OUR DOG WALK!

We walk the dogs most days and you wouldn't believe the amount of animals we see on our travels, in  the middle of a town but we have a wonderful walk all the way to Par beach without touching main roads, its a really beautiful place if you take the time to just look! I don't know if you noticed but animals seem to be the theme!

GEM VERSES NEW PUP!

Gem heard that next door had an adorable puppy that we keep going on about and this seems to be her attempt at looking cute and lovely... she just wants attention all the time! Gem you are lovely but just look at little Bailey you cant help but love him! aswell I mean, aswell!!!!

GIANT COOKIE CHALLENGE

Steve challenged me to a giant cookie making competition, and this is my attempt...any bigger and I would have been able to get it off the cooking pan! rubbish picture, my iphone doesn't like indoors for some reason...maybe it turns after its owner!

DESPERATE!

Time is running out today, we have been going all weekend... But what just made me really laugh was Pete... I heard the tearing of paper in my ear as I am here on the computer... I asked what was he doing, I thought he may have some interesting thing going on.... But when he relied, I am ripping bits of paper up to put in this book so the chap thinks I have read it!!!!!, he didnt want to appear rude.... I nearly fell off my chair laughing, only Pete could think of such a thing!!!

MY NEW PLAN!

I have a plan, an odd plan, but I thought i might make very unusual things out of odd bits and bobs, recycling!... And when I have enough, I may set up an area in the feed store in the field, for people to see, and maybe buy!,... I would just have to re roof the feed store and insulate it and move the feed to the back door area, wouldn't look any different from the outside, just be a very unusual place, something to look at whilst on holiday here, I think a quirky thing like this might well take off, and then I could give a % of everything sold to dads charity perhaps??? www.justgiving.com/johncaddy

TRUCK LOOKING A BIT DIFFERENT!

I loved our truck, it didnt ever do many miles, but I just loved driving it, we picked up all our new animals int he back over the years.... But when next door suggested swapping it for their vehicle, I said yes, I thought well dad isnt here and it has taught me even more to be even more spontaneous, (not sure pete can cope with much more spontaneity!) and just do it....does it matter!... then he said it was a merc! So ideal, and this is my new baby, pete isnt allowed to drive it yet ha ha, until he passes his "I must not pull in to hedges to let other cars through and scratch all the side of mine, or mount curbs and kill the alloys!" but as soon as he does he can drive it ha ha. I have washed and polished it and we took it out for a flask of coffee, over looking the beach with the top down the other day!... Trouble is I have to install a shed for the laundry store as I cant have people walking up the side of it to do their washing in case it gets scratched!!. One of the alloys has several cracks, so I must get someone to look at that, but other than that its great....I love it! This is mum and auntie lou posing in it, never going to get them out!

CONFUSED!

Trying desperately to get back in creative mode, but its difficult when your brain is so full. So, took the dogs to the beach to clear some space and then got a lot more done later in the evening in the office!... Heres a couple pictures I took!

IN MY KITCHEN!

A little visitor was sat on my kitchen table this morning awaiting breakfast! I know we feed them outside but didn't figure on them coming in and getting their feet under the table:)

A PUPPY!!!!''

No not ours unfortunately, next door has an adorable pup!... I went over to to Bailey is his name, and after a while of playing he fell asleep all warm and snug on my lap, so cute.... trouble is I need one now! Pete reckons I don't NEED one at all and not for the foreseeable future.... But worth a try!.. He did mention we could breed tho in the laundry, convert into a puppy birthing area...now theres a thought ha ha... It was weird going back to our old cottage, but the new owners love it just as much as we did, so hopefully they will have many adventures over there and many projects!

FUNDRAISING

We have been busy fund raising, and many people have been very kind and donated money or items/cakes. We have awareness pins which we sell for a donation a pound or more if you wish and we have charity bucket collections, plus Tim Williams of Kettle Joinery made us 6 boxes to collect money for the awareness pins, very good of him much appreciated!
The next event is a coffee day at mums house on the 21st March, feel free to pop down!, then a sponsored run on 13th April, my brothers wife will do this one. I think we have a music event in April too and on the 20th October there will be a charity choir in the evening at Charlestown Church, every one welcome. HAPPY 17th STEVE

Steve was 17 on the 22nd Feb, he has a car now and is learning to drive, Laura went out with him the other day to try to practice with him, I think she did better than I did!... But Steve has passed his theory already so fingers crossed for when he does take his test. He has got the hang of washing it too!!! Seems odd but great to think he is learning to drive... He was only 10 when we moved here!

REPLACED??

Pete had to go to London to see a client, I would like to have gone, but it is too hectic here at the moment to organise animal care! SO when he came back I showed him his replacement ha ha...smudge all dressed up with the remote! I know sad case I am, but it was funny to see his face! Probably had to be there to appreciate that one!

PANCAKES!

We had pancake day and threw a few in the air, without sticking to ceiling this year, progress finally as, Laura is 22!!... Me and laura got the hang of it whilst Steve preferred to eat them, although he did toss a pancake, but wouldn't let me take a picture in case it went wrong!! We collected fresh eggs for the pancakes from our chickens and this is what we were presented with ....how odd!

HAROLD AND HAZEL

Harold and Hazel got flooded back in December and were evacuated, so have lived here with us up until 7th March. The dogs adopted them as their second mum and dad! I think it may have been the biscuits they were interested in!
