CHARITY DAY!

We had a charity coffee and cake day towards Dads charity www.justgiving.com/johncaddy we have raised over £9,300 in a year towards research into a finding a cure for acute pancreatitis,, take a look at the page and perhaps the charity "Core". We were so grateful to those who helped make this day possible in so many ways people are so kind and for the donations online from people who couldn't make it… the actual day made £1169.00!

TRIP TO GENEVA

We had a 24 hour quick trip to Geneva to look at a job for someone, we don't think it will go anywhere but was nice to pop over there left 4am one day and back midnight the next…It was in Les Gets, France! I prefer the film star pose of Pete than the trunks on head tho ha ha

PETES HAVING A CRISIS

We are really under pressure with work at the mo, I haven't been that well and not performing as quick some days as I should, but we are getting thro it, but this day made me laugh…Pete came out with his trunks on his heads and pretended to be a super hero or something… I really worry about that man! lol not sure he will thank me for this…oh well too late now

BIT OF SUN!

Lovely sun for a lovely walk to Polkerris, It was blowing a hooley but well worth the walk, and a great bowl of soup at the pub when we got there, it must be starting to  be holiday season as we are usually the only daft ones out side with our hoods up but this day there were quite a few making the most of a bit of sun….

RAINBOWS

They always timely appear, this one appeared the day of a young friends funeral. They always appear when I think of Dad or Nan weird isn't it its like their connection to us.
To Dad a year on 2nd Feb 2013

We take warmth in the rainbows that appear before our eyes
and courage in the silver linings that glisten in the skies.
It’s these that give us strength on the days we feel so sad,
it picks us up and we remember how it would have made you mad.
if we sat about forever and never smiled or laughed,
for us to be happy is all you ever asked.
You’d move a mountain for us, you’d never ask us why,
you loved us forever until you said goodbye.

We were thrown into an unthinkable world and our worse fear,
of loosing someone that we loved so very dear.
We always save a seat, the best one at the table,
we know you’d love to chat if only you were able.

I think you would laugh at the things that are said,
I often hear the replies whizzing round in my head.
I can see you nodding simply or shaking in disbelief,
I can even hear you tell me off and saying “oh good grief”

I wonder if you still sneak a sausage roll or two
You made me laugh as you thought mum never knew!
You came over for goodies, a cake and cup of tea
When mum put you on a diet you came and saw me.

But a year has passed now and we are learning to be strong,
To be the best we can be and to carry on.
We’d love you to be here and stand side by side,
But I know that cannot happen and I remember you with pride.

The years will trundle past and I will think of you each day,
It wont be any easier no matter what some might say.
Just hope you see your family doing what is right,
Setting on their paths and the grandchildren taking flight.

I am thankful for your patience, I learned right from wrong,
I know you laid foundations which is why I must move on.
I will be that person the one that makes it count,
Each and every moment given, I will always think about.

I thank you every day for the reason to be here,
It would be even better if we could hold you near.
We know you are about we can hear you in our heads,
So to this end we love you and probably enough said.

TIME FOR A HOT CHOC!

I will travel miles for a good hot choc, found this one in a cafe in bude after a lovely river walk from the wildlife centre….This one was really nice even had choc sauce on it!

STEVE THE BIG ONE! 18 NOW

Steve was 18 in Feb and he decided he didn't want a party or anything he opted to go skiing… mmm think I was done! Kippered!… So Pete and I took him to the three valleys and skied, Val thorns, Meribel (both), Corcheval, St Martins and Les Menuires. It was a hectic week and we skied from 9 - 4.30 every day went miles and saw lots of things, we were well and truly shattered by the end of the day. Just enough energy to play poker in the evenings! It was great snow really heavy and we skied the famous Jerusalem run in the thick fog and in nice weather must admit prefer it when i can see!… So stev has something great to remember for his 18th heres a few pics….. when we got home laura had made him a cake with a skier on it and we had bacon buttes with the family and a small party tea. Just perfect. Happy Birthday Steve 18, Heres to the start of another chapter of your life, make every second count. XXX (believe it or not Steve is the one in the full face mask, can't see any part of him!

DIPPY CATS!

Does anyone have a normal cat?, I am really worried all of ours are bonkers…I am not sure whether its my fault or whether they were born that way or whether thats the only way to be to blend in with our house?

Heres Squeaker upside down not he radiator squash between the TV unit and shelf! Then when she finally manages to get her self out she lounges about in front the TV!…Whilst her sister Squiggly seems to have made a bed in the fruit bowl…aaahhhhhhh help!

GODREVY LIGHTHOUSE

This is the views around godrey lighthouse between the storms…. There is a great little cafe there too on the beach worth a visit…anything for a cuppa… but you don't have to do what we did, we walked around the bottom of the cliffs for miles to get to it when you can just drive!… we even had to paddle some of the way and time the runs in-between the waves!…But lovely interlude of the storms in Feb

LAURA 23!

I have got quite a way behind on the blog, due to one thing and another, but heres a few posts that I should have posted a while ago!
