OUR CHARITY -CORE- FOR JOHN CADDY OUR DAD

We have set up a Just giving site for dad as a legacy to him.  please copy and paste this link to donate https://www.justgiving.com/johncaddy

We will be taking this charity CORE (who fund research for a treatment/cure for acute pancreatitis) as our chosen charity from now on. In the future we aim to do many fund raising events in the memory of dad JOHN CADDY. Coffee mornings, garden parties etc etc, anything really we can.

If we can try to help fund this research then just maybe, someone will not have to go through what Dad did, it came without warning and he was critical within hours, with no known treatment or cure.

If you could do us a little favour and embed the link on to your facebook pages, as we do not have one yet! and send the link and or this email to anyone else you know, we would be really grateful.

Please do not feel obliged, but please send to everyone you know. the link is https://www.justgiving.com/johncaddy

I thankyou and wish you well. Thankyou so much for all your prayers, wishes and thoughts it really does help the family, so thank you, We were so lucky to have such a inspirational dad/husband/friend and to know he was loved by so many is wonderful....thankyou XXX

A POEM FOR DAD WHO LEFT US SUDDENLY ON 2ND FEB 2013 11.15pm

To Dad – By Michelle Hume

I tried a month to cure you, I worked such tirelessly,
to make you live forever, so I didn’t have to plant that tree!
But in the end I lost you, as quick as it could be,
but my love for you will live on for all of those to see.

You were my inspiration, and I aspired to be like you
To bring my children up, so they knew just what to do.
Its harder than you think, to get it all just right
But with love and caring direction, you had us in your sight.

I feel the wisps of wind that ruffles through my hair,
I know each time this happens you pop down to say you care.
You would never have left us, it’s just your body gone away.
Your soul and spirit live on and you are here with me today.

Tomorrow will happen and today is already here
We try as we might, to keep away those tears
We need to remember the good times, the ones you left us with
The ones we share with family, those are the ones we give.

Not the dark moments nor the empty thoughts,
you deserve the best, and we will give it with all our hearts.
You left us for a reason, that reason is unclear
But with every thought I have, I am holding back the tears.

This will get much easier as time goes by I know
So, the memories and thoughts are the seeds we need to sow
These little treasures will grow, much stronger day by day,
and keep you close, as if, you had never gone away.

I used to look for your approval for everything I do,
instead of looking over, I just have to look above for you.
A nod or wink is all I need to show that you are there
I and my family will always know you care.

So it pains me to accept the way in which you went.
But it makes me understand that you were heaven sent
A dad, a friend a mentor, words said so effortlessly
But you worked hard to achieve them and that will always be the key.
