ART ON THE BEACH
Found this piece of art that someone had created on our walk to the beach today, quite good I reckon..Dont say it looks like a pile of rubbish...thats not nice, this is modern art at its best!
PETE>>>>
Never ever tell Pete to rub a dock leaf on his nettle sting...I had to walk to the beach with him looking like this... he had a dock leaf stuck in his reefs to make it better, he reckons this is the best way... What am I going to do with him, its like being married to a nutter.... I guess takes one to know one eh!
NEW TABLE ARRIVED
What a fiasco this table has been... I wont bore you with all the saga, but safe to say its taken 6 months to get the right one, and when it did arrive it was in a very sorry state...we have had to have a guy fix it and re do the top, but even he is making a meal of it, so no idea when the sage will finally be over...but here it is the final table in place just last minute things to complete now! I could write a very long book on the goings on about this table and delivery etc. But its here and we do love it so thats the main thing....
WELL DONE STEVE
Before we told Shadow...
After we told Shadow and who says dogs dont understand!
I WANT ONE OF THESE!
Just in case Dad happens to be reading the blog, I thought I would seize the opportunity to let him in on what could be his next challenge if he wanted one....This is it a bird house like a palace! So just in case you were wondering what to do or make soon in the winter...heres a picture for an idea...Was that subtle enough???
WET DAYS
Its been raining like no tomorrow today.... but I found a silver lining to the day, I found this little guy on a twig really enjoying the weather so it made me feel a bit guilty moaning about it!
A STONE AND POEM
Thankyou to our recent Icelandic guests who left a lovely gift when they departed, a stone for the garden with a poem on it and signed on the reverse, its too nice for the garden, so we have it on our stairs next to the tree trunk thats holding our floor up, so its sort of like in a garden!! Thanks we love it.
STRANGE EGGS!
After no laying for a while the chickens are sort of laying again now, a few a day. But we found this very tiny one today... I gave it to Geoff not sure what he made of it, he didnt say he was hungry so guess it was ok!

OLYMPICS 2012
After a long day walking around we finally gave in and tried to get back through London and back home, we arrived home at 3am after getting up that morning at 5am so a 22 hour tiring day but so glad we went, I was desperate to go, I applied for everything!! Steve was as bad as me! We would have watched tiddlywinks!!! Pete enjoyed it too, Laura stayed here, she wasnt quite so desperate as us! I think she could have got in the uni enclosure if she wanted or something.... I dont know which pictures to choose, I have loads, but as I was taking lots around the park, I didnt realise me and Pete dint get a photo until we were leaving, we forgot!! We were relatively tidy considering we ran out the door the night before!! Steve has his TEAM GB stuff on, just in case they need a sub!! GO TEAM GB!!!!
OLYMPICS 2012
After being in all the ballots and no tickets we resorted to last minute tickets, after a week of trying Steve managed to secure some then got timed out at the last moment. We thought this was it, our only chance gone up in smoke, but then I stayed in and applied every two minutes, we finally got somewhere at 6.30 Sunday night and our ticket application was successful. We were so excited but as we applied for so many we didn't have a clue what we were seeing!! It was water polo, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Australia and Greece. And we were in the Olympic Park! So this was 6.30pm Sunday night...we threw some stuff in a bag and drove to London about 7.15 arrving in London just gone midnight to stay in a premier inn at Heathrow. After finally getting a room we slept from 1am - 5am and then up again for breakfast and travel across London to the Olympic park which was around 2 2 1/2 hours on the tubes and walking. We finally got in there at 9.15 ready for the Polo at 10am. It was great we had a great time and then the rest of the day we looked at the other stadiums, trying all day to get tickets for that night but no luck. But glad we got some in the end. I took hundreds of pictures heres a few... There are lots of the athletes, I have included a few you may recognise. They were just walking around amongst us lot!!
