ITS COMING!
Well I did say shoot me if I get to this point!...But please don't....It is for medicinal purposes only! NO its not alcohol its a hot tub, apparently according to my docs and physios it will greatly improve, circulation, mobility and pain, so up for all of those, so bought a hot tub in the sale, most people buy shoes or clothes, of which I have none, so in despereate need of both, but dont go out any way!!!! So bought a hot tub on credit card of course, just got to work a bit harder eh! We decided to build a deck to put it in and even this got out of hand! Andy and Ant our dream team were on hand for yet another adventure and it evolved as we did it, although we did draw initial details. We finally finished it just about yesterday. I think the thatch was the most awkward thing to do, especially with twinkle toes (NOT) Pete on the roof!! I cant wait until it comes, we must be mad really but you only live once and at this rate not for long! Ant and Andy along with the dogs of course, where theres food theres Shadow, Gem and Lucky..... here having a well deserved break for lunch, I think they have moved in!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD
Dad hurt his back, trapped a nerve I think in his hip or somewhere, but upshot is he couldn't move! So his birthday had to go to him not like planned to us for a BBQ. So me and Laura made a cake! and kind of got carried away with the whole thing and it grew and grew!... It was a little hairy transporting the wobbly cake but it made it to dads in just about one piece!
A DAY AND A HALF!
I just knew things were set to go from bad to worse and at the end of the day you had to laugh really. I took Laura to the train station to go back to uni and fell over at the train station hurting my arm and hip and ripping my nail off ..on the pink bit!!! so with blood dripping off my hand I made my way home trying to appear like nothing just happened!! Then I got home to find the dogs had escaped but returned in a shade of black only seen in cess pits! and slid across the kitchen floor and shook.. After sorting that out I collected Steve from what should have been an afternoon of football, but turned into half an hour as it was locked and they were plastered from head to toe in mud trying to get in some how!... So cleaned him up too, Then tried to start the computer to get ready for Monday morning and the system crashed in a spectacular style, I thought I had lost everything all the drawings and correspondence and Gb's of data. I thought I would plug in the old computer to try to do a remote boot, only to find Aaron had borrowed my computer and forgot to return the power cable, so I had to ring him in a panic and he kindly offered to drop it before his pool match.... Meanwhile whilst waiting for that I tried to get ready Steve's PE kit for the next day, but it was missing... He said he brought it home but you know what thought did don't you!... Well to cut a long story short he didn't and had a vague recollection of a bag like his being up at football when he got lagged earlier, but thought cant be mine I brought mine home......so we donned our wellies and torches and had to try to retrieve this kit from the closed football area. We looked like thieves ready to strike, Steve climbed in and got lagged again whilst I stood watch, just hoping a do gooder wouldn't ring the police and then I would have to explain this day to them! Finally got it, meanwhile ringing Aaron to tell him I wasn't there but to leave the cable in the porch... Got home and after washing and drying kit and trying to reboot unsuccessfully the system it was around 1.30am...What a day! and the next day it started all over again with a multitude of disasters. I just hope this isn't a sign of things to come for 2011!
GAS LEAK
I am trying to remember what has gone on... Well its been bitterly cold and frozen for weeks with the pipes and ground hard with frost and ice and the duck pond hadn't melted in weeks. We had a gas leak from the big bullet thing that holds all the gas for the cottages, I called the engineer out who said he was busy but can come tomorrow!!! Well he eventually came and established that I wasn't making it up as previously made out to be by the engineer, we in fact did have a gas leak, We have used 6 months supply in only 2 months and he was trying to tell me it wasn't much and shell wouldn't reimburse me...I am at this moment in time...wasting my breath and ink to get some sort of compensation! Its about £600 of gas lost! Doubt if I will get anywhere that's how they make their money! Cynic I am!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011
Well its been a while and a hectic start to the new year. We celebrated the New Year at home with Mum and Dad, Tractor Annie and Doug and Me, Steve and Pete. A few games and bits to eat, the time went really quick and almost missed the chimes!..Then we said goodbye to everyone...QUICKLY! as steve had to get up early for a golf competition on New Years Day!
