ROCKY AND RINGO

Rocky and Ringo have settled in really well and Ruby really loves them. They have however figured out how to jump from the bin onto my back when I am trying to change the water in the house, and get really wound up when you run around with them, I didn't realise they could spring so high in one leap......They love to eat clothes, well anything really that they shouldn't and love to clamber all over you, they have no concept of it may well hurt!.... But so far so good . Rocky is off the bottle and both enjoy apples and carrots, they didn't really know what to make of the pea pods I gave them!....Laura and I made a holding gate, so at least you could enter the paddock without carrying out a rugby tackle as you open the gate then proceed to run after the goat that has just slipped through your legs as a result of your face hitting the mud in a rather ungainly fashion...then getting up and brushing the grass of your legs forgetting that you have hair like a tramp and a face full of mud....and calmly carry on the feed run as if nothing has happened...morning s eh!...., you can now walk into the holding area, shut the gate then open the inner gate, very civilised.....Cor blimey what is happening to us, thinking ahead, easy options, whats going on....Am I ok?????

HAVING A LAUGH

The piglets are 4 weeks old now and are progressing well, ...well very well on to hard feed, they run around like loonies too!... I let them out in the grass paddock yesterday and they went so hyper that they slept for hours after. Little Humphrey is still going and being hand feed still but getting stronger. I had to take a picture of this one, I think this one is Dans I cant remember now...I do have a list ...don't worry!.....But she was smiling away and talking, they are huge compared to Humphrey, I wonder if he will make it or catch up size wise?

WHAT IS IT WITH LAUNDRY DAY!

Under pressure to get all the Laundry completed before change over and I have Smudge on the press and good job I covered the linen with old towels as I found two of the kittens asleep in the middle of it all...I can't seem to put anything down without some one or thing perching on it!

HAMMOCK!

Laura thought she would introduce Mason to the Hammock, Not really sure he liked it much, but any excuse to get in Petes Hammock for Laura....Its a family size one, but I am not sure that means us 4 and 3 dogs and the cats?!!!! Gem is definitely hooked though....Ah sorry that wasn't supposed to be a joke!

IN TROUBLE

Shadow and her brain cell...Hey that could be a name of a band eh! Well she decided that the Pixie pond/bridge waterfall miniature thing was suitable for bathing her giant backside in, so after sitting on the pump and having half her hair sucked up the pump she promptly left after leaving a Shadow kind of trail to let us know she had been there!

WELL DONE LAURA

After an agonising wait and wondering how she did, Laura has passed her professional flute exam with a merit. She only had a few months to complete it and it was touch and go whether she would be ready as it usually takes a lot longer, but Laura needed it for Uni and we were all delighted and prod that she had passed. She will go on to Uni now with peace of mind that she has that one in the bag!

Well Done Laura...Knew you would do it! XXX Couldnt find the picture with the new flute so have to have the tree one for a minute till I find it!

SCOTTISH BOYS CHAMPIONSHIPS

After the pro am and I mean right after the pro am we had to drive to Scotland for Steven to be in the Scottish Boys, he got in as a reserve the day before and we had to make our plans really quick to get him to Scotland by the Monday for a practice round. Rang school to Ok it and then packed car, briefed Laura and off we went. Steve did really well, he is only 14 and missed the top cut by only 2 points so it was a fantastic result. The end of the week was the Under 14s which he came 16th tied out of 120 so again a very good result and worth going up, So well done Steven. We also say a day at the British Open and took a few photographs before I was stopped...didn't realise I wasn't supposed to...oh well!...So heres one of them see if you can recognise the pro!

And a huge thanks to Laura for holding the fort...mind you she has been to Paris already as a thankyou for house sitting over the summer!

PRO AM

Team Purl Design took part in the Pro Am at Carlyon Bay, should have been Tim in it but he hurt his shoulder on holiday so we had Jake,Sam and Steve and they came a very respectable 5th, so well done guys, might see them on the circuit eh....Might be famous one day!

KITTENS

Scrappy and Smurf are ready for there first injections now and Munchie has gone to his new home at Tims house, as I am typing Smurf is trying to catch the letters on the screeen...muppet cat!.... Smartie is still really close to them and cleans them all the time... Oh I cant see what I am writing Smurf is driving me nuts here...I'll just add the picture and hope it all makes sense!

STUDLEY ARRIVES

Studley has had the pleasure of visiting Woodmill once before, but after 10 years of being a stallion he is now only half the man he was....Hopefully he will behave himself. Spring our lovely little foal, well she is 2 years old now suffered from sweet itch , which is an allergy to mosquito bites, she needed to move to higher ground so we swapped her for her dad Studley to try and resolve two problems at once. Spring is doing well at her new home and Studley is taking a bit of settling really.....patience I guess is needed. He still has that swagger we remember and a fine looking miniature pony he is too....

WE NAMED HIM HUMPHREY

Our little pig that was poorly and we are feeding every one or two hours at the moment is still going and we have named him Humphrey....Michaela over the road thought he looked like a Humphrey and the name stuck!...He has been in the kitchen for a while to try to get him stronger but Lucky just wouldn't leave him alone, cleaning him and trying to feed him!...think she thought it was one of her puppies!...But Humphrey has very sharp teeth and when he bit her tongue trying to suckle I figured the safest place for him was down with his brothers and sisters....It was weird how Lucky regressed to when she had puppies and was trying to care for him though...Well just have to wait and see how he goes I guess!
